A PRACTICE IN PAYING ATTENTION

MDUBYOU started as a nickname from a mentor and friend. With his Georgian accent, he would call me by my initials: M.W. The nickname stayed with me and eventually became the name for this studio.

From people and gatherings to streets and landscapes, this portfolio is a collection of things I've experienced and perspectives I've captured along the way.

I like photographs that feel lived in. The in-between glance, the late afternoon light, the character of a place. A camera gives me a reason to slow down and look a little closer.
